i must admit to liking this: The Dramatic Chipmunk

and i spent some time looking at old fractals today and rendered this one. it's not that great but i like its texture and colours. it has the name of waffle, mainly because i couldn't think of another name.

and himself took some photos yesterday of a bus of what looks like a lot of kids having a great graduation party going past-- the picture links to a couple more. :)

a good solstice. i have been playing around with some kitten pictures and this is one of gizmo i made, or more, put together, with gimp

clicking on the picture will take you to a larger one. obviously it's inspired by the lol cats and walrus sites.

spent quite some time on a new tutorial i'm working on today, and uploaded a page for gimp here, hoping to add more stuff to it as time goes by. which reminds me of an old image i made some years ago, orginally uploaded to renderosity.

it's not a great picture, the quality's poor, one of the first composites i made with the gimp using both apophysis and xfractint renders, if i remember corectly i'd just started to learn apophysis then.

i want to make a big stained glass lookalike picture, so i've being doing that all w/e and i've got one pane done.

another massive attempt to revamp the site, or front page. thought it easier atm to have a type of journal as notes rather than blog, hence this. spent ages yesterday making a new logo. font's called march of the penguins, which i thought rather appropiate. you can find it in the gimp under the text tool.
have also got rid of the front page random image loader. think i prefer to upload a single new one now and then and move the randowm images to a gimp folder as they're all images layered with the gimp.

no idea if i want a blog atm, it takes ages to load and write etc and half the time i don't know what to say that doesn't end up sounding like some sort of dirge. grins :)

now i've uploaded it i've decided it looks really boring, might re-instate that random image loader and the links have to look differnt. ah dratted and ack ack ack. :)
21.55,, just occured to me that it might be a good idea to have an email address on the site. so i added that. the link colours are still hideous. unfortuantely.think changing that might involve some complicated stuff relating to css or the like. shudder.
23.43 now i've had a look at the tutorials i've made over time and i'm not sure if they make sense now, they made perfect sense at the time i wrote them, obviously. i'm not sure if that's a problem or not now seeing as im not sure what i did then or how i got it to work. i might go to bed then instead.
